Fuck your idea of "duty" *and* your idea of what work qualifies as a "hobby."  I say again:  If I had had to choose either/or, I would not be a mother today.

I'm also grimly amused by the knowledge that my daughter has no intention of ever becoming a mother, and has a career as a professional artist.

I'm not sure why you would hate being a mother so much. I'm not understanding that.

She said if she had to pick either/or she would not be a mother.  She didn't at any point say she hates being a mother.
