Sorry to hear bud. Looks like someones going to have to swallow it in order to regain some sort of civility within the family. Sad to say it looks like it may be you. It may be a terrible thing to say, but you'll outlive her opinions of you, or what you choose to believe or not believe, and that's something I'd probably remind her of if she's trying to hard-line you..puts things into perspective. That one day all that will be left of her here are your memories of her, and she has some control over how she will be remembered by her family. That this may not be the cross she should hoist herself onto. On the other hand, it might be worthwhile to drop it and pick it back up at some later point in time/your relationship. I say it might, because obviously I can't make those sorts of judgements for you.
