Thanks all. He spent time in Nam and then he and my dad went to college together at Iowa State. I haven't seen him a whole lot as an adult as I have been all over the country and he planted himself in the Minneapolis area.
His wife was a great help to me when I was going through breast cancer as she had it (but opted for different treatment) a few years before I had it. It's a little scary to think that it came back on her.
John's a smart guy. He left the military, active and reserve, and went into teaching and coaching. And messing with his money is something he won't tolerate.
