TL;DR: There's a VERY Good reason Andrew Wakefield's hypothesis has fuck-all in the way of support in the scientific community. And it's not because of some conspiracy. It's because, objectively, it's horseshit that falls apart under the slightest scrutiny. And somehow, the fact that nobody's been able to replicate his findings turned out to be the least of its problems.
