My personal belief is to just ignore it; if you cant do that, there are professional steps you can take to ensure that you are not harassed or otherwise made to feel uncomfortable at work, and if the coworker intentionally violates those terms they should be immediately fired.
Accepting that some people cant just ignore it is not contradicting that my advice should be to ignore it.
