I don't understand the freakout about who wants to be seen as a man or a woman. I simply don't get it. The first trans person I ever met was in 1979 when I was 22 years old and I found her to be fascinating. It's just never been an issue in my world. People need to worry about their own selves and quit spending so much time focused on other people's gender/sexuality.
