Elmo says he's gonna rename gokipedia to encyclopedia galactica, then send a copy etched in stone to the moon and mars, and beyond.  I think beyond is a particularly good idea.  We should do it tomorrow, he can go too.

Doesn't Douglas Adams' estate have copyright on that?

Short answer: No.

The term was first used by Asimov, so if anyone has a copyright claim, it would be his estate. If it was used by Adams without permission, and a copyright claim was never pursued, then there is no copyright.

Of course, what it really comes down to to is Musk won't care. If he gets sued over it and if they win, even if the sum is enormous, it's nothing more than a line item on his monthly bank statement.
