There is no sun at all in winter and summer is like the winter in the remaining parts of the world. Almost everything there is being imported. Nothing (other than fish) is being produced there.
In fact new US Military bases or mining companies would bring some heat and some action to the place but I don’t envy the lives of those soldiers or miners who will have to live without heat and without sun. (How does a human live in a place where there is no sun?)
ANd it’s not a “strategic” location (no more than Iceland, Norway or Alaska if you like).![]()
We need to find some scientific method to get us to January 2029 before somebody ending the world as we know it out of pure ignorance and foolishness.
What makes you think there’s no sunlight or heat in Greenland? Also, Greenland produces potatoes, lettuce, strawberries, meat, and animal skins/furs.
I suggest that your try getting in the habit of looking thing up before you post. It might make you look marginally less ignorant.

Sorry about that. I was sort of joking. I really get confused whenever I watch or read some sort of news about Donald Trump. In fact I am on standby right now: “What nonsense is he going to do tomorrow? This week? A month from now?”
My point was that life in arctic regions must be very difficult. Personally, I don’t even know if I could make it in England. To me, even northern France or Belgium is depressing to a certain degree. I’m am used to the sun rising before 7:00 AM an setting down after 6pm. I get confused when I have to get out and start the day when it’s still dark. And I cannot start to imagine the days in artic region with the sun rising up for only two hours and so.
- And I was serious about the suicide rates among young people and alcoholism. In fact I think that maybe Trump should them the 51st state so these Inuit boys and girls will be able to stop living in the land of ice and polar bears and start a new life for themselves in Miami or somewhere in California.

And still: Why does anyone want to take such a land?

- And I also did not understand anything about “The Board of peace”. I seriously don’t even know if it is a good thing or a bad thing. I am simply not following anymore on this one.
