What is Justice?
#45
RE: What is Justice?
Brilliant Cantor. Absolutely brilliant. How long have you been a member of "the Thinking Atheist.com"?

Quote:What the Rev calls "stackable philosophy" is how I utilize archetype.
*snaps fingers*

THAT was the word. I heard it before but i just couldnt put my finger on it since I quit studying philosophy in the early 90's and turned to electro mechanical.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Archetype

You have you Archetype (which is your base philosophy...the one big MAIN one), and the others flow from it along with your personal preferences...well, for lack of a better definition. I used "stackables" because I have played Dungeons and Dragons too much. Stackable damage, Stackable bonuses, etc.. LOL (IM A GEEK that can run a fucking jackhammer and an excavator.)

Quote:One absolute in 4 - I love my Gwynnies - beyond which everything else is hypothesis.
You love Guiness too? HEL YEAH!

Quote:Yeah, that's an absurd philosophy; it is also truth. Philosophy is nothing other than a search for truth; the duality of this identity ends in 4, prolly ain't 4 you.
Many philosophies dont make sense. Many say things they will never be able to prove. Many philosophies merely point out the absurd.... and if you want to know why, then ask this question:

How can the philosophies of "monism" and "Dualism" both exist in the same universe?

They do. They both also are diametrically opposed to each other. Some people believe in one. Others believe in the other.

Quote:Dual-state identity postulates duality as an artifact of time. Justice is but another identity often conflicted with the eternal, usually resulting in the collection of adjective, perfect, or pure, or true.
In other words...its a word game. its what we want it to be when we want it. (of course I am simplifying)
Quote:Zero-state morality postulates that morality can only be absolute to the individual. The I am that I am is a zero-state; the I am that writes, writes in a state of becoming.
...and it is "becoming", because "being" suggest a snap shot of time. We are really "becoming" instead of "being". This is basically what Absurdism's view on morality is. it is personal opinion. Nothing more.
Quote:One of learning and conflict; one resolution of that conflict is to be evil in the fight against evil. In such a manner I can be Justice; what I cannot condone is Justice without morality.
this is where you lose me...when you say the word "evil". That word brings up a red flag.
Quote:Is Justice possible? Rewrite all the laws, throw the money out, form a global economy that makes sense; yeah, maybe. Justice is a busy girl in my mind.
Sounds like a busy girl that I want to help. Sounds great to me. Sure, I can dig your idea of Justice.
