I was raised southern baptist.
I am existentially distraught to see christofascism still alive and well, and the average person pretending that anyone is entitled to false (and therefore deadly) beliefs.
Innocent people are dying for the lies others tell. Lies protect lies. I am glad to see communities like this one standing up for life and the truth that defines us all.
I worked as a web developer after graduating from a Missouri university in 2014. I am currently unemployed and deeply concerned about the state of the world.

My abusive christian parents are to blame, but they scapegoat me for their violent mistakes. They believe they are going to heaven for hitting children, for psychologically torturing me, my brothers, and more. They are still spreading the abuse, no one is stopping them.
I hope to escape the bible belt soon, but options are limited. I am unsure whether I will survive this year.
