We have to keep this in perspective. Theists don't think they are morally superior, they just assume they know what it takes to be morally superior. Even on their worst day, killing the neighbor's cat, they at least praise god for telling them in his bible how to please Him. They also know that their 'acts' are irrelevant. It is through faith that they avail themselves of god's grace which is the only thing that gets their ticket to heaven punched. Screw the cat, they're heaven bound.
