The germans are not constantly demonized. In fact, they nearly ran the show in the EU with regards to the financial crisis with Italy and Greece.

Be accurate.

Aren't they?
Tell me a single movie which depicts the plight of the German soldiers in WWII. Or any movie for that matter that depicts the victories of German soldiers in WWI.
They can't even make such movies in Germany, because they'll almost instantly be branded as Nazis.
Germans are, as they are, branded as a Tätervolk(I used this term before but in case you don't know what it is, it means "evildoer people").
Even German politicians have come out to say that Germans, as a whole should take blame for the Holocaust and WWII.
War propaganda of the day aside, the only time when Germans were shown sympathy was when half of their country was still under Soviet occupation, when the famous words "Ich bin ein Berliner" were uttered.
But other than that...Really, even though now Germany is a whole country again, and the wall has been torn down, the amounts of WWII movies and holocaust movies have increased ever since.

Oh, don't be foolish. Running the show in the EU means that you're in big trouble. No one wants to run the show in the EU. Britain abstained from it by telling their Euro to fuck off, and many more are doing the same by saying fuck you to it's policies while Germany has to pay for the poorer EU countries?
Really, I pity Germany. Not only are they demonized by the rest of the world, they are also used as a personal bank that never receives back the money that it loans.

And they got away with brutally liquidating large swathes of non-German peoples, at least from the perspective of the prosperity and wealth their country has enjoyed.

See?
They are being demonized, and it's been a long time, and all the perpetrators are dead and cold in the grave.
And they(the German people) supposedly "got away", implying that you had something more severe in mind for them?
Lets ask our neighbors what they have in mind for us if they were given a free shot at us to which we were forbidden to reply.
