What's wrong with that? It's a religious POV and should be taught in RE if that's what they want to teach.

That's interesting. I know our local HS RE teach is a strong creationist and has anti evolution posters on his wall for example. The problem with it is that it does make scientific claims even though only from the RE classroom. He's actually a very intelligent debator and even his staunch atheist colleagues seem to put up with him to an extent.
