I'm not fucking kidding. I've been having this argument with people since I was 12 years old. You want to fix the problem for everyone - not just women or minorities, you start at the ground level. The problem is, people want immediate results - they don't want to make it great for their kids so their children can benefit from a more equal society where all races and genders can vie for whatever they like. They just want to do for themselves. That's what affirmative action does.
