Tip #234 - "Use the democratic process to ensure your employess can not use a democratic process"
Imagine, if you would, that a new rule for presidential elections was encated. This rule declared that "a majority of an entire nation must approve the next president." The election comes and goes, and once the ballots where counted the results were this:
22% of the population voted democrat
23% of the population voted republican
3% of the population voted third party
52% of the population did not vote.
In the old system, a republican president would be elected to office of President (for popular vote, of course). With the new voting system enacted, the results are much, MUCH more different. The results under the new voting system would be "no new president". This doesnt mean that the current president gets to stay in office. No. This means that NOBODY will be president for the next 4 years, as the new rules for voting require that a non-vote is equal to a vote of "NO" to the entire existence of the system.
THIS is the system that airlines have been under for the last 75 years.

Quote:The previous rule, which dated back 75 years, required a majority of an entire work group to approve unionization, effectively counting those who don't vote as 'no' votes.
