I used to be a Christian so I can speak as a Christian from that perspective. In other words, I can give you the thoughts that I would have given you back when I was a Christian. So here you go,...

Your question: "have the Atheists and some others on forums that discus the bible committed the unforgivable sin of blasphemy against the holy spirit?"

From a Christian perspective my answer would have to be that no mortal man can possibly answer that. In fact, IMHO, for a Christian in particular it would be considering "judging" if they even attempted to judge whether or not someone had sinned against the Holy Spirit.

So as far as I'm concerned it would be un-Christian-like to even venture a guess.

"If they have then can they be saved from eternal death that would await for them if that is the case?"

Well, based solely on the King James Bible that I would have used, if they had been judged by God to have blasphemed against the Holy Spirit they could not be forgiven. According to Luke, God would have to go back on his own word in order to forgive them.

Luke.12:10 And whosoever shall speak a word against the Son of man, it shall be forgiven him: but unto him that blasphemeth against the Holy Ghost it shall not be forgiven.

Let's say some of them start believing in the bible, what could he do then to be forgiven?

Well, assuming that they had already been judged by God to have blasphemed against the Holy Spirit, then according to Luke as shown above, nothing could be done. They could not be forgive no matter what. Even asking Jesus for forgiveness would evidently be a waste of time.

Although, you be very hard-pressed to find any Christian who can even remotely imagine Jesus refusing to forgive anyone who seeks his forgiveness. They would rather have God's WORD fail than have Jesus fail to be able to save someone.

And what's the right translation of the verse that talks about the unforgivable sin? Because in different bibles it says different things if I remember well.

Any Christian who claims to have the "right" interpretation of the bible can only be an arrogant fool, IMHO. And if they are a Protestant they should be extremely ashamed of themselves. Because the whole idea of Protestantism was to protest against having someone interpret scriptures for someone else. (i.e. they were rejecting the idea of a POPE).

In other words, true Protestantism is about self-interpretations. So the "right" interpretations should be up to the person who is seeking salvation don't you think? They shouldn't have to ask anyone else. It should be between them and God.

If they want a Pope to interpret things for them shouldn't they be considering Catholicism?

Those are my answers from a Christian perspective for whatever they're worth.

I'm no longer a Christian and I expose the utter absurdities in the Bible all the time now. I have absolutely no fear at all of being judged by the God of Bible because I am completely and absolute convinced that the Bible is nothing more than Hebrew mythology that cannot possibly be the word of an 'all-wise' God. The fables simply aren't "wise" enough. It's pretty simple actually.

The very idea that a "sin" against the "Holy Spirit" should be "unforgivable" in a story about a God who's mercy and forgiveness are supposedly the only things that surpasses his love is simple a blatant contradiction of what this God is supposed to be like.

What can I say? This should be obvious to anyone. Utterly absurd contradictions like these are just proof positive that these fables are necessarily a farce to begin with.

This is like trying to justify Greek Mythology (only worse)

Christian - A moron who believes that an all-benevolent God can simultaneously be a hateful jealous male-chauvinistic pig.
Wiccan - The epitome of cerebral evolution having mastered the magical powers of the universe and is in eternal harmony with the mind of God.
Atheist - An ill-defined term that means something different to everyone who uses it.

Luke 23:34 Then said Jesus, Father, forgive them; for they know not what they do.
Clearly Jesus (a fictitious character or otherwise) will forgive people if they merely know not what they do
For the Bible Tells us so!
