Step 1: Church collects tithes from it's members
Step 2: Church gives members small sums of money and instructs them to give them to whomever god "calls upon them" to bless.
Step 3: Profit. The members of the church are very proud that "The Church" is giving away cash (of course it is only their own money, and if the church is smart..only a fraction of the money tithed to them), The church is happy to see yet more members bring in their tithes after being persuaded to join by this random act of generosity.
Maybe that's not what they're up to at all, but what a wonderful little scheme.
Negative on steps 1-3. The church never gives up it's gold (the golden rule applies at all times) It is consider alms, out of pocket cost. Dont'
forget, when you start your own, you will be tax exempt also.

Seven deadly sins are of Catholic origin, just another way to control the masses.
wrath- don't rage against the machine
greed-give it all to the church
sloth-keep working for the church
pride-dummy them down
lust-I don't have the faintest idea
envy-want for nothing
gluttony-more food for the priests
