Guy on FOX is Religious. [Against Lady Gaga and Islam]
|
I haven't gotten to watch this yet because I'm at work, but I'd just like to interject my opinion about FOX:
I used to hate that it was the only news station they play at the gym. Now, however, I find that when I'm on the treadmill and I see Hannity's face, I work harder as if by running faster I can somehow reach him and punch him in his smug ugly piehole. Thanks, FOX. I expect to lose all the weight I want very shortly. I'll credit it all to you. RE: Guy on FOX is Religious. [Against Lady Gaga and Islam]

What???? Someone on Fox News is pro-Christianity and anti-Islam??? When did this happen???
Bill Donohue is a well-known pro-Catholic fundie. And I never will understand Christians complaining about people making fun of their religion and not Islam. That seems to be the new rallying cry these days whenever someone criticizes Christianity. "Waaaah! You're criticising us and not Muslims!!! Waaaah!!!" I mean, do I really have to list every religion I don't believe in when I make a criticism of Christian beliefs?
Christian apologetics is the art of rolling a dog turd in sugar and selling it as a donut.
"Do your little number and leave us alone"
Very rich coming from a Christian fundamentalist. Quote:"Waaaah! You're criticising us and not Muslims!!! Waaaah!!!" Hey, I'm an equal opportunity criticizer. Also, the owner of that gym is a republican and is trying to brainwash his/her costumers. I live in North Carolina... CNN is liberal hogwash. He doesn't have to try to brainwash them. The mile circuit I used to run at night has 4 churches along the path and three more just beyond it at various points. Small talk and churches are the South's bread and butter. Most fun ever? Having a breathless (we were on the ellipticals) and rather heated (plus loud) discussion about why Catholicism and the rest of Christianity are bullshit with my ex's atheist little sister. That can only end amusingly in a gym where people have Jesus gym bags and they sometimes flash inspirational messages across the TV screens. RE: Guy on FOX is Religious. [Against Lady Gaga and Islam]

When I regularly worked out, I always watched "Countdown" (I guess my gym was a lot more liberal). I'd get just as angry and work out as hard but at least I got to watch someone intelligently break down and debunk what I was angry about.
Atheist Forums Hall of Shame:
"The trinity can be equated to having your cake and eating it too." ... -Lucent, trying to defend the Trinity concept "(Yahweh's) actions are good because (Yahweh) is the ultimate standard of goodness. That’s not begging the question" ... -Statler Waldorf, Christian apologist
When I get to the point that my blood pressure is dangerously high, I turn on an atheist podcast or something instead. Irreligiosophy is great for that. Listening to someone else cuss up a storm about things that piss you off is extremely therapeutic.
The worst is when Glenn Beck is playing. RE: Guy on FOX is Religious. [Against Lady Gaga and Islam]

Thats why they bring up other religions. They want you to criticize THEM, not Christianity...havent you heard? Christianity is perfect, and people criticizing it is proof. If Christianity wasnt perfect, people would just ignore it. Its nothing more than child psychology Also..just one more thing. Christians RESPECT that Islam gives them fear. Muslims scare the crap out of christians and they respect that and envy that. They want other people to fear them as much as they fear the muslims. It tends to be a common thing especially on yahoo buzz, to say "say that to a Muslim and see if he doesnt kill you for it". What is it they are trying to say? #1 - Murder over the smallest slight to ones religion is optional #2 - Fear of the smallest slight against christianity should be spread #3 - Many christians would kill you for such a slight, if only the government would not punish them for such revenge. The government is obviously persecuting them. This is what I get from them when they say things like that. I feel their frustration that they want so badly to reach over and slap teeth out of an atheists mouth for daring to think that Jesus and Jehovah are fictional. |
