I'd be just fine living with a really huge lie,as long as made me happy and I never found out. Sadly,as far as I can see,religion is far more likely to bring you misery than joy or inner peace. I mean,just LOOK the majority of the believers we get here! What depressing bunch of fucking misery guts.

Of course you may claim that is YOUR point,and that may well be what you meant.However,that is not what you said. The statement comes across as a general principle,which it clearly is not. That is why I mentioned that it is not MY point.
To me, atheism is simply a mater of disbelief,not an evidence-based position.On what basis may I try to convince believers they are wrong? I have no evidence that is the case.In my opinion, to try to convince others of position without credible supporting evidence is indeed arrogant and proselyting in the worst sense of the word.
OF COURSE you have every right to do as you choose without explanation or justification..However,I retain the right to differ and to challenge if you make what I see as an unsupported claim with which I also disagree.
