I think your right about men. Men have the advantage with having the option of having to deal with bringing a new life into the world or not. Men can just run away as soon as the decide they have lost interest. a woman has to deal with a baby from conception until they are old enough to take care of themselves (adoption and others can change this of course but for the most part)
And I think anybody that would call you a murderer based on what you had to do is outright wrong. you and your family come first over new life and you have done your best to avoid the situation in the first place. I don't think that any reasonable person would dispute that.
