This is not only morally questionable, but stupid on the church members' part. You know probably the easiest way to make a kid lose his or her faith is to keep them out of church? There are tons of "mainline" churches with nothing but grey heads in them nowadays...I'm sure they would be dropping their jaws in disbelief at this (if they could get past these people allowing a convicted sex offender to keep preaching).
