I kind of straddle (lol) the middle of this sort of debate. I find the traditional home worker/bread winner arrangement to be a pleasant one. If done correctly and with two personalities who enjoy their roles, it is a great way to run a successful household. Two working parents is actually harder to do than the traditional set up. I do not find the tag offensive. On the contrary, calling it a "job" is good. For a long time, women were not given the credit they deserved. Being a stay at home is a job. That is, of course, if you don't sit around on your ass all day watching soap operas while your kids eat crayons.
I would love a househusband. However, I have yet to meet a single man who can cook, clean and do laundry the way I want it done. I have also yet to meet a single man who I would not mind being financially dependent upon. Therefore, I did both.

. . . pissed me off. Really? You're going to assume that they didn't actually think it was funny because you didn't think it was funny? I think it is mildly funny. I personally don't know a lot of women who would be pissed about that. They are more likely to laugh and hand it to their boyfriends saying, "Well, it told me to give it to my woman." I can see both sides laughing it off and moving on with their lives.

Quote:But then, cue the predictable minority chorus of men telling me to “lighten up” and “learn how to take a joke” and the women who love to be 'one of the boys’ and live in fear of being called a ‘feminist’, informing me of how “hilarious” the message was.
