I can't make this anymore plain to you. The traditional values of america, are the traditional values of the poor and disenfranchised. They are the ones who created america's traditional values, they are the ones who cling to those values.

Which are? Frankly, there is so much information regarding what the US is, I can't really tell what "tradition" really means in America.
What I meant by "tradition", I did not mean your cultural values, if you have any, being the weird melting pot you are, but things that are generally thought to be as the type of values that are most beneficial to the individual and society, which are alike around most of the world by now. Like, for example, marrying, before having children, having a job, a nice house, a peaceful family and etc.
Not to mention a peaceful society, where the youth do not delve into things like drugs, one night stands, or where sexuality is a private matter, and not the talk of the town.
These are "traditional" in my mind, and "traditional" in your mind.

They cling to them so firmly that it becomes easy to exploit them along those lines. Who do you imagine might be doing that?

To what? They cling to what, really? Religion? Is that it?

For better or for worse, the middle class in america has always been the midnight riders, the boogeymen, those drafted from the poor by the wealthy to keep check on those and that which the wealthy owned.

The middle class are your teachers, your professors, your lawyers, your judges and most of the people that really have an effect on how society works today.
The middle class is what drives society forward.
Let's look at the countries who lack a "middle class", or have a shortage thereof. Russia. There, you're either very rich, or very poor.
The people who are ought to be middle class, are poor.
The same problems are surfacing in your country right now. Without the middle class, the lower classes are lost, as they cannot jump the gap from being poor, to being rich, they are stuck there.

Now we tried to break free from that shit, and look how the "middle class" has been crushed, perhaps for getting just a little too close to the american dream? Ask the wealthy who's to blame (and the former middle class of america is definitely asking), and they point to the poor, as they have always done.

Why point to the poor? The US has never been a social state, as to blame them.

See how this works? You pick someone lower on the societal rung, and you scapegoat them for whatever ill you perceive at any given time. Does that sound familiar to you Mehm? You'd make a damned fine american, if you asked the right people.

No, that does not sound familiar to me. Why? Because pointing out problems is not a crime. Neither it is "scapegoating" as you'd like to say it.
Without pointing out the problems, you cannot solve them.
