I agree that spending power does have an influence at individual level but as a social section of society, the rich do better in some sectors of morality than others. Abortion for one.
I did find this though when I was looking for prison stats to prove you wrong. I did not find any but that does not mean that they are not out there as I know that many underclasses, blacks and natives, all poor, that are over represented in the prison population.
