I can give an example though and it has little to do with what is worn but more the how and where.
An example would be a girl in grade 10 with a tube top and a skirt up to her ass. I have experienced that and on a beach would be fine, in school, it is skanky. If I recall correctly, she was one of the ones my son called a hoe.
My wife tells me and I agree, that just about any picture of Madonna or lady Ga-Ga will be seem as skanky.

It all comes down to what you want your children to think and be.
