The middle class upholds values? Probably not Mehm. I understand you don't seem to give much consideration to the po' folks of the world, but that's the majority of the world, and traditional values ARE theirs. It isn't the middle or upper class clinging to "traditional values" in the US, brother.

I disagree. Usually the higher up the socio economic ladder one is, the higher the moral content. It is partly due to education and self-pride and opportunity I think.

Given the idiocy that you spouted to start this thread, it is not surprising you would believe this crap too.

As it happens, controlled experiment is easily, and is actually, done on this very thing. It consist of jars of girls scout cookies intentionally set out in the open in a medical facility, with a note asking passersby to pay a fix amount into a box next to it for each cookie taken. No one ostensibly is watching over the literal cookie jar. But a hidden video camera then record who donates and who steals. The income level, presumably correlated to your social-economic ladder, of the donator and thieves are accessible through their medical records

You know what, The percentage who steal rather than donate increase almost proportionally with income. The lower one is on the social economic ladder, the more one is likely to pay for the cookies. The higher the income, the higher the propensity to steal the cookies.

In this case, education did nothing, while pride appeared to have caused them to be confident nothing bad will happen ( to them ) if they stole.
