Apologies, I better understand your original post. I don't disagree Rhythm, in fact quite the opposite. By use of the term "goal" I mean something towards which nature is unwittingly converging; increased efficiency for a given environment.
Going back to the worn example of unnecessarily large breasts, I think those to be a development without seemingly positive benefits. With respects to a lack of more physical prowess, there is logic understandable to humans for that.
I fear though that this is going full circle in our debate! (An interesting one it has been though!)
