Roald Dahl wrote a book called BFG (Big Friendly Giant) in which fart jokes are common. If he has not read it, a 7 yo would love it. If there is one thing children consider funnier than farting themselves, it's an adult farting.
Quote:If you’re unfamiliar the story it is sort of a Peter Pan type deal, in which a young girl is whisked into the hidden world of giants, all of which are hideous evil troll-like creatures save for the large-eared old man she befriends. The man makes his living with the aforementioned dream collection/distribution, and because of his refusal to eat humans lives off a diet of disgusting food and drink, the later of which makes him rather gaseous (to the point that he can fly). There’s even a song about it…

PS PLEASE tell of his class' reaction to his presentation. I'm dying of curiosity. I also very much need to be reassured he is not the only bright kid in his class. (I also think fundy parental responses would be pretty entertaining)

They were probably too busy picking boogers from out their nose than actually paying attention.
Love this line: "my little nose miners" (Mrs Doubtfire)
