I counsel Muslim girls all the time. Their fathers shake my hand, they shake my hand. If I were to go to a predominantly Muslim country, I would probably read up on their customs beforehand, and respect them by following their customs to the best of my ability. I bet that's what these people do. It's what you're supposed to do, really.
Well, no one is going to not shake your hand if it's such a matter, aleia.
Only the really really Wahabis probably would abstain from doing that, but even they know that they must adhere to certain universal principles.
