No loss for me - I haven't eaten fast food in many years.
Manager needs to be fired, at the very least IMHO. Allowing an obviously ill employee to work in food service is a very serious health issue.
Well..... it is fucking Texas. Down there they don't care if chemical plants blow up as long as it is good for business.
Because only lazy welfare slobs take sick days.

I waited tables and tended bar for twelve years, and I can't remember one manager who didn't try to get every sick employee to come into work... in fact, I distinctly recall a couple of occasions in which employees were threatened with termination if they didn't show up to work when ill. Working in the restaurant industry has made me extremely aware of my surroundings when eating out.
My managers at least cared more about the health of the food and employees. Sickness can be contagious. There was one instance where I came in to work, and found my lost dog dead by the side on the road on the way to work. My manager offered to let me go home because I was broken up about it.
You do learn some things about the food industry when working there. if you really want to know how much effort th kitchen staff puts into keeping the place clean, sneak in there and pull the grill away from the wall. Look in the harder to reach areas of the kitchen. If there isn't a layer of filth behind the machines, or under the tables, or whatever, it's a good place to eat. Also check to make sure they aren't putting meat above fruits and vegetables in the freezer.
