Quote:What would you say if a Muslim or Hindu told you the same thing? Probably that it's nonsense and you'd be right. When you understand that you will have some insight into the way people view what you have just said.
If a Muslim or Hindu told me that they were experiencing similar things, I would have a bevy of questions for them. I would probably assume their schizo, just based on pure probablity and the fact that I don't think Hinduism is accurate or Islam is true. On the other hand, Buddhism is obviously true, as any seeker will find (meditate!); and Christianity is true, as any seeker will find (pray!).
I think I'm different b/c I DON'T have any of the symptoms of schizophrenia--I have coherent, logical, and critical thinking (as opposed to fuzzy, incorehent delusional thinking); I am a participating member in the community (as opposed to isolative); I don't suffer from bipolar, depression, or any other co-occuring disorder (unlike many schizos); I shower reguarly (unlike many schizos) and no-one who knows me well thinks I am suffering from schizophrenia (usually those close to sufferers from schizophrenia find it painfully obvious). There.
