The gospels tell us that Jesus was the One in the tomb. If you are referring to any other part of the story, well, it's all true just did not give all of the information other accounts did. A lot of history has been patched together this way and you accept it.
Is it not strange that if Christianity were to be learned from the Bible only, that Christ himself never wrote a line or commanded his apostles to write?
Biographies are written about many after they are dead, and they never wrote one word of the story nor did they ask anyone to write it.
Ever heard of this really new invention called an autobiography? They are not usually written by dead men or women.
