Freewill

But I have studied scripture! I didn't make up the fact that the gospels give such different stories of who was in the tomb. Scripture itself tells me no one had the slightest idea what happened.

The Bible proving the Bible isn't proof of anything. Even if that were accepted for some reason the Bible doesn't even stand on its own two feet... Never could it prove itself.

Mankind's intelligence walks hand in hand with it's stupidity.

Being an atheist says nothing about your overall intelligence, it just means you don't believe in god. Atheists can be as bright as any scientist and as stupid as any creationist.

You never really know just how stupid someone is, until you've argued with them.

The scriptures were never written to prove themselves.

The gospels tell us that Jesus was the One in the tomb. If you are referring to any other part of the story, well, it's all true just did not give all of the information other accounts did. A lot of history has been patched together this way and you accept it.
God loves those who believe and those who do not and the same goes for me, you have no choice in this matter. That puts the matter of total free will to rest.

Is it not strange that if Christianity were to be learned from the Bible only, that Christ himself never wrote a line or commanded his apostles to write?

Biographies are written about many after they are dead, and they never wrote one word of the story nor did they ask anyone to write it.

Ever heard of this really new invention called an autobiography? They are not usually written by dead men or women.
