Chemicals are inorganic. What you appear to mean is that it was made from biogenic chemicals. The biogenic chemicals are CHONPS. (Carbon, Hydrogen, Oxygen, Nitrogen, Phosphorous and Sulfur)

Organic compounds is a better term but still not entirely correct. The compound in my avatar (formaldehyde) is an organic compound yet organic is often misunderstood to be the chemicals of life. Tell me, gasoline is an organic compound, would you call it alive? Organic chemistry really should be renamed Hydrocarbon chemistry. Then again, I am a bit on the overly pedantic side with Chemistry.
