The "New World Order" is just shorthand for whatever political party or ideology one finds themselves on the opposite end of (for whatever reason). The other is always the enemy, their motivations are always sinister.
My father in law likes to talk about the NWO and coming apocalypse. He's certain that at some moment in the not too distant future President Obama will sign an executive order and mobilize his own private army to bust down my father-in-laws door, with the express purpose of confiscating his bible..... I shit you not.
