I don't think people seeking the bible are afraid of being deceived, maybe other reasons but not being deceived.
Atheism is only the realization that we cannot only rely on books written 2000 years ago by goat herders and the "supposed" authority of ancients for our answers. We must look for truth in all directions and drop any overly unsupported views while investigating views which have supported evidence(Science and Philosophy for me not including theology). If the bible and other pure assumptions are the only thing you are seeking you ARE being deceived.

I was just proposing the idea as an opinion of what i believed to be one of the most influential reasons in being an atheist, it might not be true but thats why i just used opinion and believed, if true its vulgar.
