You've obviously never dealt with custody situations. While the law can demand certain things of either or both of the parties involved, it is the goodwill between the two parties that will make any kind of kid exchange possible. Causing bad blood between a person you are trying to share custody of a child with, or in this case reconcile with completely and share a life, well, that is just dumb. He needs to speak with her and find some common ground, there is not enough force on the planet to make a woman do what she doesn't want to when it involves her child.
