Where to draw the line is a lot clearer than you think. Being insulted by something that is not an insult is your problem. People are offended by what I say all the time and even form their opinions of me based on it. It happens to all of us. However, being insulted by an insult is understandable. The instances where a person throws out an unprovoked insult are rather obvious. If that happens in a quote, two rules are being broken and that may be taken into account. Again, the specific instance is always reviewed before action is taken. We won't just see that you changed a quote and bring down the banhammer.
