From the limited information you've provided,I'm in no position to suggest mental illness,nor am I qualified to make a diagnosis.Having an epiphany is not necessarily a sign of a mental illness. I'd probably be a bit suspicious if your experiences were accompanied by visions and/or voices.
Are you happy? (I don't man euphoric;THAT is always a worry). If so,do what what will make you happy.
By all means see a psychiatrist if you are troubled,NOT because some strangers on an internet forum think you should. Oh,at the Catholic school I attended, I was taught only a fool never doubts his faith.
