There are tons of rumours about the masons and usually none are true. They really are a secret society and even being married to one I have no idea what he does. No one unless they are a mason can possibly know about their organization. The shows on tv give false information...or that's what my husband says. I know they don't worship Satan and they don't control politics or the world. Get over it conspiracy theorists...it's just not true.
I don't know about the "elite" thing. We are no more "elite" than we were before he joined. I haven't noticed any large sum of money just appearing in my bank account. I do know that he got out of getting a speeding ticket because he had a mason symbol on his car and the police officer was also a mason. We can go to his mason friends that provide services to the community and get a good deal if we need them for something. Other than that I haven't noticed anything that even suggests that someone gets a free ride after joining the organization.
