I had pets when I was a child. I had birds that talked, I don't know the english name for them. They were like parrots, but smaller and in blue or yellow colour.
Other than that, I had fishes.
Other other than that, I fed stray cats on the street, I had many such cats who would flock at my door when I brought them food.
I took a normal soda bread and cooked it in broth, and then served it to them. They loved it so much I had to bring in seconds to finally sate them.

No, these are like parrots. In Turkish it's name is "muhabbet kuşu". I'll google the name and find it's english equivalent for you.
Budgerigar. A weird name, really, it has nothing to do with the name we have for them.

I had three of them. One we gave away, one became too fat, and died from eating too much, another one I gave to some vietnamese child in Germany.
