My apologies for overestimating your sense of humor.

This is not an objection to someone talking figuratively.
When they say "heart" they are literally making a claim about their soul's "inner core" (whatever the fuck that means), and by extension the heart of OUR souls, to that I say "complete and utter nonsense" - the only heart we have is the biological organ with the same namesake, not some "spiritual" brain fart.
In other words, when they say 'heart' they are not talking about the big muscle in their chest, but about emotions and convictions, but you choose to take the opportunity to talk about circulatory functions, and you are being deadly serious. And I definitely won't call you on it anymore because your panties twist up something fierce.

You said it.

I can sympathize. I know where it comes from, just expressing a little weariness of seeing the same comeback for the thousandth time.

They're not atheists. They're theists who don't know what an atheist is. No matter how many people self-identify as physicists, if they say that as physicists their main job is judging the aesthetics of Scottish border poetry, that doesn't mean physics now encompasses poetry appreciation. Statistics can be useful for determining how many atheists there are. Statistics don't make someone something if they don't fit the definition. No matter how many native-born caucasian Americans identify as Australian aborigines, no matter how many cat-owners identify their feline pets as turtles, no matter how many people say they are astronomers and identify astronomy as the study of folk guitar music; it will not make any of those things so. If I feel any animosity at the messenger, it's at her being too thick to get that the 21% of people who identified as atheists and also claimed to believe in God weren't really atheists...the word 'atheist' is utterly useless if it includes people who believe in God, and it's not up for vote.

The freedom to truly die intimately involves our own consciences.

You did say that. It was what I originally responded to. I am at a loss as to what you really meant if you didn't mean on this thread or this forum.

I just said I would, but thanks for the implication.

That's why I go with the minimum: a person who believes in Jesus Christ and his teachings and thinks they should be followed.

It's amazing how much bull you all read into someone's post that's not even there, then accuse me of making a statement that actually came from your own perverted minds. I never demanded anyone's age, if you guys want to give them why not put them in your profile. There are those here that know how old I am ask them, it's not that I care who knows my age, I'm not going to respond to demands made by a childish old man who is the one throwing the temper tantrum. I might have put things quite bluntly, but have not lost my cool.
When you start referring to other forum members as though they're children, you may have lost your cool.
