Let's see ... take the work of a superb author and the awesome 3 laws of robotics and then ignore them completely with a cheesy detective thriller based only in the loosest sense on anything Asimov ever did. Add to that mix cheesy humanoid robot characters (in the books the robots, except where they were specialised units usually built for off-world use, were FAR more human looking than that piece of crap portrayed them). Add an evil super-computer and a Susan Calvin was NEVER good looking in the books (she wasn't meant to be) and you may understand how, as an Asimov purist, I came to hate the movie.
