Try the original Radio series for true authenticity. While I of course adore the books, there's something about actually hearing robot voices singing "Share And Enjoy" exactly a flattened fifth out of tune to the music. Plus he juggled writing the first series with writing some of the cleverest scripts for Doctor Who so his genius status was sealed from the kickoff.
