If you'll notice: all threads are like trains... and once they are subtly hit by a sledgehammer: they take a different track. You may have noticed how subtly subjects flow from one to the next?
That is called a change of subject, which also changes the current topic.
So what did this have to do with the topic? Quite a bit. What did this have to do with the topic 4 pages ago? Zilch. Subjects change, life changes, time changes... pretty much everything changes. Only a handful (like 1=1) of things do not change, and threads are not one of these.
