All that i remember of all the "lessons" ever taught to me by spankings is the fear and hatred of my father.

Unfortunately most people don't see this until it's too late. I think their are better ways of disciplining than spanking. I think all new parents should be required to take classes on discipline and child behavior. Most people who have children, myself included, don't have an inkling on how to be a good parent.
