I hope you can see this a rather touchy subject to me.
I remain adamant that it is NOT OK to hit a child,EVER.
No child "deserves" to be hit. I understand why parents hit their children,but think that makes it about them and their frustrations,not the welfare of the child. It's too easy and it's incompetent parenting. I only formed this opinion as an adult,after discovering none of the friends I made as an adult,of either sex, had been hit as an adult.
