Not really. I simply lack belief in the existence of god. Can't deny something you generally don't believe exists.

No need for specifics, we all know what we're talking about. I.E - Higher power, supernatural being, creator of the universe, ect ect.

Lack of belief in a god or gods is stupid? Why?

For someone who claimed to have been an atheist for a good while seems to know very little about atheism. Now I really don't think you were being entirely honest.

Being an atheist says nothing about your overall intelligence, it just means you don't believe in god. Atheists can be as bright as any scientist and as stupid as any creationist.

You never really know just how stupid someone is, until you've argued with them.
