Atheism simply means 'without' 'theism'. Theism = belief in god. A-theism = Without belief in god.
When I say I don't believe in 'god' I'm saying I don't believe some higher power, universe making prat exists. Nuff said.
But atheism doesn't work like that. It isn't a he it is a they. Atheism rejects the claim that a god or gods exist. Not exclusively Jehovah God.

Its just a word applied as a title to anyone or anything mighty or venerated in as much that it is attributed a might greater than the beholder.

I already have defined the term God in general in English, ancient Hebrew and Greek, and I've named gods mentioned in the Bible. Jesus, Moses, the Judges of Israel. Here is another, the Sumerian King Tammuz. There are what, 16 humans that were called gods in the Bible.
