Why did God set up this massive sideshow at the Garden of Eden and then get them to mix with a "mainstream" species?

Maybe you should ask God. I can't say for sure but if it were me I'd want my cake and eat it too. Meaning If I were God i would want to wait a trillion years to have a buddy. I create one now and then set things in motion to carry on later.

To me it sounds like you're claiming God wasn't responsible for evolution but evolution+ where the non-perfect human out of nowhere blends into evolution.

No God set evolution to corrdinate with the fall of man, so man made in the image of God could carry on outside of the garden

That can only mean one thing--there should be evidence of when this species (i.e. those that came from the Garden) blended into the "mainstream" species. Got any fossils for us?

The bible tells us the woman carries 'seed of the flesh' and the Father the 'seed of the Spirit or Soul' That's why we can say Christ was 100% man and 100% God. for his Body was flesh, and his Soul or rather where his soul would have been was 100% Son of God.
